Configuring FoxyProxy For Our Proxy Service
Here are instructions to configure FoxyProxy with our proxy service
- Create a new proxy definition by clicking the Add New Proxy button on the FoxyProxy Options dialog [screenshot].
- Switch to the Proxy Details tab [screenshot] and select Manual Proxy Configuration. Enter the IP address and port of the proxy server provided to you in email. Do not check the the SOCKS proxy checkbox. Click the OK button and click it again when asked about whitelisted URLs.
- Change FoxyProxy's mode to Use proxy "New Proxy" for all URLs [screenshot]
- That's it! Navigate to the sites for which you purchased the proxy. When prompted by Firefox to enter a username/password [screenshot], enter the username and password provided to you in email. You'll have to do this everytime you start Firefox and first start using the proxy service. If that annoys you, consider purchasing FoxyProxy Plus for automated authentication.
- When you want to turn off the proxy, click right-click FoxyProxy in the Firefox statusbar and select Completely disable FoxyProxy [screenshot].
Note: Our proxy service is likely slower than your direct (non-proxy) internet connection. To optimize your experience, consider using FoxyProxy in patterns mode.
