License Verification

When I first ran Firefox after installing FoxyProxy Plus, the box where I enter my license key said that your antipiracy protections were minimal. I entered the information, told it to check the license and it was happy.

Now in the last 20 minutes or so, that same friggin' box has popped up THREE more times telling me that my license has been validated, with the options to check the license or cancel.

Is THIS your idea of minimal protection? How often is this thing going to pop up in front of my browsing?

Windows XP, Firefox 3.0.11

If it's still occuring after you've double-checked your license and email, and you've restarted firefox, please send a screenshot of the "nag screen" that shows you're license is validated to us at support at leahscape.com

Will do Eric, I just restarted Firefox again. If it pops up again I'll do that. It didn't seem like it was intentional, but certainly is frustrating. LOL

Oh BTW, FoxyProxy Plus IS working GREAT! I was already on a 3 day trial with the same UK proxy, but I signed up with your version (I assume it's an affiliate program) and will cancel the other.

The Reboot Did it

Just a note. That last reboot made it all work. Thank you!

If memory serves me right here's the sequence

Pay for FoxyProxy Plus
Download and install FoxyProxy Plus
Restart Firefox
Enter Codes (you DID write them down didn't you? As you until the codes are entered you can't go to your webmail to get them)
Restart Firefox

And just to be safe, restart Firefox again.
(to be really safe, you might reboot instead of restarting Firefox in the above steps)

I agree, the license check

I agree, the license check is a little annoying. I haven't this problem before until today when a firefox session was being restored but it started nagging about my license key being invalid and that firefox should be able to communicate with your server.
Waited around 20-30 minutes, tried again and it eventually worked.
Maybe your server was down temporarily or that I just couldn't communicate with it but ... shouldn't the license check only occur once?
Also, what if (god forbid) your server is shutdown and you stop selling/maintaining FoxyProxy Plus...? Won't we all be left without FoxyProxy Plus? Knowledge of this dependancy on your server makes me uncomfortable with regards to longetivity of the plugin.

You asked a number of questions so let me address each of them.

1. Yes, it appears the database had a problem yesterday. It was very temporary. This is the first time it has happened.

2. If my server is shutdown or FoxyProxy Plus is discontinued (very unlikely), then the worst that will happen is you'll get the nag screen. periodically. FoxyProxy Plus will continue to work just fine.

Hello!   FoxyProxy Standard

Hello!
 
FoxyProxy Standard worked great for a while an my Macbook (10.6.x) so i decided to buy the plus version.
 
The payment has worked perfect, too. But after installing the Addon and restarting Firefox the validation dialog appears. After inserting my email-adress and the license key the complete browser freezes (no firewall is blocking the connection) at the validation screen (in german "Überprüfung läuft...bitte warten" appears and neither the abort button works, nor any other "normal" way to close the program). 
Even entering random data results in a hangup.
 
How can I fix this? Currently it is impossible to start my Firefox and I need it really to continue my work :-/.

Anyone having this problem

Interupted by FoxyProxy License key popup about 10 mins ago.
http://leahscape.com/fpplus/license_check.php : MySQL errors.
Hopefully someday out of the kindness of your heart you will disable this oh-so-subtle "minimal" anti-piracy feature.
Edit: License verfication keeps popping up every few mins. Really annoying.

Invalid License

My FoxyProxy validated but suddenly I started getting a box telling me that my license is invalid.  Will someone please help me with this problem.  It is quite annoying.

Verification failing

Hi,

I'm getting the invalid license message from about 1 week now and trying to revalidate just results in a message saying "checking license..." that doesn't proceed.

Anyone else getting this message now? I've tried emailing the support email ID but have gotten no response so far.
