ITV Catchup service switched from Microsoft Silverlight to Adobe Flashplayer on September 11. Can someone assist with a new set of url patterns please?
Noticed that the itv catchup has changed recently like you said. Have noticed instead of using medialocator they are now using mercury. Heres your pattern that works coz just finished watchin emmerdale on it and im in spain. Hope this helps and enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://mercury.itv.com*
Hi everybody
I'm a newbie to this... and I've been trying to log on itv and the like for hours (I've only managed to watch bbc player so far).
I don't know how I should use the pattern posted above; would anyone be so kind as to explain (in a very basic, easy-to-understand language ^^) what I should do please?
Thank you very much!
Guys please help me out! Neither BBC nor ITV works with foxyproxy for me eventhough I've properly set the patterns! Unfortunately, the prob is quite different :( Everytime when I enter BBC video page via foxyproxy(suitable proxy added), it says Adobe flash player not installed and I keep on installing in vain! Instead if I enter without any proxy enabled, it says you're not from UK :(
Any suggestions??

Are you experiencing these problems with paid proxy service? Any way there should be something wrong with Adobe flash Player installation. I suggest you install it from adobe web site before accessing BBC web site.
ITV should be working with the Video Utility installed and enabled http://foxyproxy.mozdev.org/proxyservice/video-and-audio.html

The prob is with foxyproxy video utility because it flashes out with a command prompt screen and just disappears, while the file icon of this video utility doesn't look like a valid .exe file in Windows Vista! And of course am downloading flash from Adobe Site!
If it doesn't look like a valid .exe file, you either downloaded the wrong file (64-bit instead of 32-bit), or the download didn't complete successfully. Can you just try to download it again?
I've downloaded thrice and am very certain that mine is 32-bit windows! Working a round-about technique now and well get you the results on how it works.. Anyway thanks for replying pal :)

New pattern
Hey, i've just figured out how to get the ITV player working outside of the UK. The pattern i use is:
http://mercury.itv.com/PlaylistService.svc
with Wildcards and Whitelist enabled.
That's it, no need for asterisks or anything else, it just needs that one address to go through the UK proxy.
Hope that helps someone!
