iPlayer not playing

Dear all

I have just paid for FoxyProxy for a UK proxy specifically for BBC iPlayer. I have followed the instructions to the letter and I can browse fine. I have tried speedtest and it detects the UK server. I have also installed and enabled the video utility. The BBC diagnostic brings up no errors and the speeds are fine.

When I go to the iPlayer site and try to download to the iPlayer desktop, it simply tells me that it is only available in the UK.

I have set Foxy Proxy to "always use {the ip}"

It all appears to be set up correctly but it isn't playing.

Can anybody help??

ern

And I'm using Mac OSX Snow Leopard

Just in case this helps.

Hello, Please try this

Tried it. Didn't fix it.

Downloaded Adobe Air and tried to install it over the already installed iPlayer desktop. It informed me that that version was already installed.

Any other ideas?

When I had FoxyProxy before in Australia the BBC iPlayer worked fine. Now no joy.

Now it streams

But will not download. How does the download see that I am using a UK proxy from outside the UK but it streams OK? Stupid :-(

This is what the utility is for. Apparently it is not working cor you. Please remove your username/password form the utility's configuration menu and try again.

It's been reported that sometimes the utility doesn't work on OS X.
