Hi there,
all new versions from 2.09+ are buggy for me. After i updated to a new version, the foxyproxy icon dissappeared. I can only switch foxyproxy to use a proxy when i use the menue "extras - foxyproxy" and use there one of the addet proxies. With version 2.09 i can reach it on the "normal" way, just on the frontend of firefox, right beside the search bar, upper right corner.
I've already used the search function, but i couldn't find a solution to get rid of this bug.
I really like foxyproxy and it would be great if i can use it again on the usual way.
Hope you can help me to fix it.
Thanks in advanced

Hi,
1. Which version of Firefox are you using and which operating system?
2. Have you tried FoxyProxy in a new Firefox profile?
Eric

Hi, I'm not suggesting you
Hi,
I'm not suggesting you use a new Firefox profile indefinitely. I'm asking if you can install it in a new profile temporarily. This will tell us if it's a problem with the Firefox profile in use or if you've found some bug or incompatibility with FoxyProxy. If the latter, we can proceed to other steps. Do you know how to create a new Firefox profile? Please do try this first. If it's a problem with your current Firefox profile, I can help you fix the profile so you don't have to abandon it.
Thanks,
Eric
hi
Hi there,
i was away, so i couldn't test it. Now i've tested it with a new profile and it works. After i edited the GUI and put the icon on thr right place, it stays there like it should.
So i guess my old profile is damaged ? Please be so kind and let me know how i can fix it. If u need any information, just tell me.
best regards
Hi, The best place for this
Hi,
The best place for this kind of support is in the Mozilla Firefox support forums, but we can give it a try here. First, I would disable all addons in your old Firefox profile except FoxyProxy, restart and make sure it works as expected. If it does, then re-enable each one-by-one to see where the problem is. If it doesn't, uninstall FoxyProxy and re-install (you didn't say that you tried that).
You could also try enabling Javascript error messages for chrome. Set these preferences to true in about:config:
javascript.options.showInConsole
extensions.logging.enabled
browser.dom.window.dump.enabled
Then reinstall FoxyProxy, restart Firefox, and open the Javascript Error Console (Tools->Error Console). Ensure the "All" button is clicked. Paste the contents here.

Hello, of course that's
Hello,
of course that's what i've done at first. But the same issue. I did this with every new update that came out. Result was the same -> it won't work.
Now I've tried to follow the steps as you said, but there is no "browser.dom.window.dump.enabled". So i turned the other two to "true", installed the plugin, restarted FF and suprize suprize, Foxyproxy runs like a charme again ! :) I've checked also the logs, and i cannot find any problem. So I tried to reproduce the error, but it won't work. Kinda strange, but well.
Finally I just want to thank you and the others who spend their time to make Foxyproxy even better. Thank you guys.
