Hi.
I use a laptop.
At work I get the local IP 10.131.16.*** / 10.131.17.***/ 10.131.26.*** / 10.131.27.***
When at work I can choose from 2 proxy servers, to get an Internet connection:
10.131.26.129:8080 or 10.131.26.10:8080
At home I do not need any proxy (yet!!), so I use a direct connection. And the local IP is 192.168.2.1**
How can I setup FoxyProxyPlus to automatically change the proxysettings, based on the local IP.
(I'm getting pretty tired of having to start FF through safe mode (turning all addons off) because I forgot to change the proxy settings) (one of the addons apperantly checks someting online before starting FF, and this blocks the start of FF, if the proxy is incorrect)
grtz,
Twan
Is this possible at all? I
Is this possible at all?
I can not figure it out.
Please help.
Hello, In FoxyProxy
Hello,
In FoxyProxy options select your proxy and choose Edit selections. Then go to Local IP address patterns. There you can create patterrns to decide which proxy to work with specified local IP.
Sorry I wasn't correct,
Sorry I wasn't correct, that option is only available in FoxyProxy Plus.

I do have foxy proxy plus.
I have created patterns 10.131.26.* and 10.131.27.* on the proxy to use at work.
But still FoxyProxy Plus can not access the internet connection, it can not even check its own license information.
What is going wrong here?
If you have a license

Do you use the same FPP both
Do you use the same FPP both at work and at home (probably with Firefox portable)?
I do not have any license
I do not have any license verification issue, if I use "Use proxy xxxxx for all URLs".
I use a laptop that I bring home, and take back to work.
FPP does not switch proxies based on local IP's.
Hi, This topic is explained
Hi,
This topic is explained in depth here: http://foxyproxy.mozdev.org/fpplus/ippatterns.html
You should create a single proxy configuration in FPP. It should have just a singlewhitelist, wildcard Local IP pattern (Local IP Address Patterns tab):
10.131.*
with the proxy server (Proxy Details tab):
10.131.26.129:8080
(sounds like this isn't a SOCKS server, so don't check SOCKS)
The Default proxy configuration in FoxyProxy should have its Proxy Details tab set to "Direct (no proxy)".
That's it.
There are other ways to configure this, too. If it's not working for you, please post your foxyproxy.xml file (found in the Firefox profile directory)
thanks,
eric
