How to assign a proxy to a website url?

Dear friends,
as I've tried to explain within MozillaItaliaForum (see here: http://forum.mozillaitalia.org/index.php?topic=36636.0) I would simply like to know how to do this:
I have a choice between 3 proxies;
I would like to assign 1 proxy to a certain website url, a proxy different from the running one...
How can I do???
Thanks a lot !!! Paolo

Hi Paolo, 1. Put FoxyProxy

Hi Paolo,

1. Put FoxyProxy in mode "Use proxies based on their pre-defined patterns and priorities" (Do you need this in Italian??)
2. Create a new Proxyin FoxyProxy
a. Click Add New Proxy
b. Choose a name for the proxy on General tab
c. Set Proxy Details tab
d. On URL Patterns tab, create whitelist wildcard pattern for the website. Example for http://forum.mozillaitalia.org you could do http://*.mozillaitalia.org/* or *.forum.mozilliaitalia.org/* or *.mozillaitalia.org/* .... etc.

Does that help?

Best regards,
Eric Jung

How to assign a proxy to a website url?

Dear Eric,

Bye bye for now... Paolo
Thanks a lot!!! ;-)

proxy

oh man, thanks so much, i was looking for this

Not a computer person

I am very new to this stuff...so I need very basic help. I have installed Foxyproxy. I have done something now that I can't even check my mail on the internet. I had to disable it and Firefox doesn't work now. What I originally wanted to do is go to a website and mask my ip address. What do I do? I need simple steps. And is there anyway to test this? How do i know a website's ip address?

Proxy Name to Use

Subscribed to your Proxy server through Paypal but can't find any info on how to configure the settings to use it. Just keep going in a circle. Know it's probably me but am confused on how to continue.

Hi, Try watching this

Hi,

Try watching this tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=urPMFhyBI4U
or reading this:
http://foxyproxy.mozdev.org/configuring.html (you want to choose "Manual Proxy Configuration", and you are using an HTTP proxy... not SOCKS)

Please ask more questions if you need more help,

Eric
