FoxyProxyPlus not authenticating with SOCKS5 servers that require authentication

Foxyproxypro is not  working with SOCKS5 proxy servers that require authentication. A check of the log of the SOCKS5 server shows that the SOCKS5 proxy server is not even picking up the username/password credentials filled in in the FoxyProxyPlus configuration window. What gives?

Hello, Below is what Eric

Hello,
Below is what Eric Jung (the author) wrote about FoxyProxy and SOCKS5 earlier this year:

Unfortunately, Firefox does not perform handshaking to SOCKS servers requiring authentication. In fact, I don't think any web browsers do (please let me know if I'm wrong). Since FoxyProxy relies on Firefox for SOCKS handshaking, unfortunately this isn't something FoxyProxy can provide

Confirm that FoxyProxyPLUs (not just FoxyProxy) does not work ..

I am quite aware that FozyProxy does not work with SOCKS5 proxy servers that require authentication. However, the layout of the GUI for FoxyProxyPlus, which includes a checkbox for specifying that a proxy server is a SOCKS5 proxyserver plus two input boxes for username and password - that layout (mis)led me to believe that FoxyProxyPlus supports SOCKS5 proxy servers that require authentication. Please tell me explicitly that my belief is mistaken and that FoxyProxyPlus does NOT support SOCKS5 proxy servers that require authentication.
As an aside, I have found one browser, Arora,  that supports SOCKS5 proxy servers that require user authentication. Arora works - I QA'ed that functionality.

FoxyProxyPlus does not

FoxyProxyPlus does not currently support SOCKS5 proxy servers that require authentication.
