Recently I've had issues at working using FoxyProxy and Logmein. I use Logmein to access my home computers and I find it to be a useful tool. Just recently however the Logmein plugin has stopped working using the proxy. I was wondering how FoxyProxy would be passing the proxy information to other plugins. The only thing I've noticed is that when you disable FoxyProxy it shows that no proxy is defined. If you set the proxy in this way the plugin works, but once you enable foxyproxy the plugin fails.
Is there any debugging I could do to determine how the plugin is pulling the proxy information? Is this normally an issue with other plugins?
Hi, Proxy information isn't
Hi,
Proxy information isn't "passed" to other plugins. When other plugins make web requests, those requests are intercepted by FoxyProxy and routed through a proxy (if appropriate, based on the mode in which you've set FoxyProxy and any applicable patterns). This interception doesn't occur when FoxyProxy is disabled.
Incompatibility with other plugins is very rare. My guess is that your proxy isn't working. Can you confirm that it's up?
As for debugging, check the FoxyProxy Logging tab (checked "Enabled" first). Clear the log, enable FoxyProxy, then use Logmein... let it fail. Come back to the Logging tab, click refresh, and post the results here. Alternatively, if you can tell me how to get the Logmein plugin for myself, I can test it.
Thanks,
Eric
