Hi,
When Foxyproxy is activated (not necessarily "working", i.e. it may be set to "Use no proxy for everything"), often the Add-ons window gets corrupted. No Add-ons or Plugins are shown, there is no possibility to change something.
This behaviour is not necessarily from the start of Shiretoko, it may appear after a few days of good behaviour. But when it appears, it is not revertible unless you create a new profile or manage to deactivate Foxyproxy (which cannot be done from the running Shiretoko).
I could never see this problem as long as Foxyproxy was deactivated.

Helmut
Hmmmm. Hi Helmut, thanks for
Hmmmm.
Hi Helmut, thanks for the feedback. I wish you had instructions on how to reproduce reliably. I will try FoxyProxy for a few days with Shiretoko. Which version of FoxyProxy are you using?
thanks,
eric
Hi, the FoxyProxy version is
Hi,
the FoxyProxy version is 2.8.11 (automatic upate).
I cannot reproduce it voluntarily, it just happens from time to time. Another effect is that in these cases you cannot mange (or add or delete) bookmarks either. Also this disappears again when FoxyProxy is inactivated.
When something does not work (as the problem with the empty Add-ons list), I have seen a lot of errors in the Error Console (javascript.options.ShowInConsole enabled). My impression is that these errors appear when trying to open the Add-ons window, but the "real destruction" has been earlier already without issuing any message.

Can you also tell me which
Can you also tell me which operating system you use?
thanks
I would think this is a ff 3.1 issue...
I would think this is a ff 3.1 issue, in part due to 3.1 beta status, but also due to the fact that I have yet to run into this with my xp, vista & ubuntu machines, including Firefox Portable. all are using the most recent foxyproxy (2.8.11) and the current stable release of firefox (3.0.5)
I also remember other addons besides foxyproxy doing that to my ff usb 3.1b, as I only installed noscript & was trying to test firefox.
I would try to trigger it again, as long as your using a windows machine. (so I can use my portable copy.)
So If you could tell us your Operating System Please.

Hi,
Yes, I am using Windows XP SP3
You might have a look at Mozilla Bug 467747 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=467747) which seems to describe the same problem.

Hi,
It does look like a Firefox issue. Thanks for the bugzilla link. We'll have to wait for the Firefox team to fix it.
Eric
I get the same situation
I get the same situation when I installed DownThemAll! 1.1.0 on Firefox 3.1 Beta 2. However, if I disable one of them, the other one will works fine.
Hi, if you read the bugzilla
Hi, if you read the bugzilla link (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=467747), you'll see Mozilla is working on fixing it in the nightly builds. It will be fixed before Firefox 3.1 is released. So in the meantime, I suggest you use Firefox 3.0.x instead... or sacrifice FoxyProxy :)
Looks like the fix was
Looks like the fix was checked into the Firefox source code... try the next nightly build of 3.1 if you dare :)
I Might give it a stab, if it's now in the PortableApps Build
I Might give it a stab, if it's now in the PortableApps Build too, I do like some of the ideas coming into the betas but entire browsers are something I normally wait for stable.
you can run firefox in safe
