Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.

Hello,
I am trying to connect to my UK proxy server (which has always worked fine). Suddenly I get the error message

The proxy server is refusing connections
Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections.
* Check the proxy settings to make sure that they are correct.
* Contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is
working.

Proxy server details below
IP: 77.***.***.***
Port: 4****

Please can someone help?

have the same problem

Hi all,
Am too facing the same problem. I connect to Internet through a proxy(squid) server, and some times (not always) FF gives me a message saying "Firefox is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections".

Can any one explain me in detail what is the actual problem for this kind of behavior and what is the solution for this.

Note: I connect to internet through a Proxy server and its the only way i connect to Internet.
