Hi I've been using foxy proxy for a while.
Im now running Firefox 3.0.6 & Foxy proxy 2.8.11 which doesn't seem to be working.
If I disable foxy proxy, and manually configure a proxy in firefox it works fine. If I enable foxy proxy and set it to "Use my proxy for all URL's" it doesnt work, the connections aren't going via the proxy.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
Hi, 1. Did FoxyProxy ever
Hi,
This is very strange. It's going to be hard to diagnose, but let's try.
1. Did FoxyProxy ever work for you? (maybe a previous version?)
2. When you enter the proxy details into firefox, is it the same proxy details you enter in foxyproxy? (host, port, and SOCKS or not)
Thanks,
Eric
Hi Thanks for the reply! Yes
Hi Thanks for the reply!
Yes it use to work fine, I have it installed on 2 machines, with the same version of Firefox, and having the same problems.
Yes Im using the exact same proxy in both foxy proxy and manually firefox configuration.
Thank you
Firefox 3.07 and FoxyProxy 2.812
I also have been having troubles. Apparently Foxy Proxy no longer causes Firefox to ask for a username and password that would be appropriate. It is not checking automatically, because I deleted the saved password for the proxies. Now, when I click on a page that should use the proxy, the page remains blank and nothing else happens.
Any suggestions? I already reinstalled and reconfigured it with no difference.
Sincerely,
Jim
Hi Jim, Do you know what
Hi Jim,
Do you know what kind of authentication the proxy server is using? I'm asking because I want to do some tests here, but I need to know what kind of authentication (HTTP Basic, Digest, NTLM, etc) is being used in order to replicate your environment.
Thansk,
ERic
Foxy Proxy and Firefox
Sorry to take so long to reply. I was travelling. I am not sure what kind of authentication, if not the default, that it is using. But, I just installed Foxy Proxy on my new laptop, and it also does not work here. All programs are the latest updates and I am now using Vista. But, I never get asked for the password, so I cannot access any site for which there is a rule in Foxy Proxy.
If you provide me with a little more info, I can experiment!
Jim
Do you check the "SOCKS"
Do you check the "SOCKS" option when defining the proxy in FoxyProxy or not? This will help me localize the problem.
Working fine now
I have foxyproxy working fine now, I had the wrong SOCKS server type defined.
Once I changed it it worked!
Cheers
