I searched around and couldn't find this as an existing feature request.
It would be very useful if FoxyProxy could be configured for different modes in separate browser windows. For instance, I would like to be able to open a new window, then elect to use a proxy for all URLs in that window - without impacting the window I already had open.
This functionality would be similar to an InPrivate browsing mode, which has become popular in major browsers so it seems like it would useful to other users of FoxyProxy. With Internet Explorer for example, an instance of InPrivate browsing can be used simultaneously with non-private browsing sessions open in a separate window.
Please consider this feature!
Thank you.
Hi, Thanks for the request.
Hi,
Thanks for the request. It has been requested before, albeit a slight variant (proxy-per-tab instead of proxy-per-window). Here's the thread about it and, unfortunately, due to current Firefox limitations, it's not possible to do reliably. Please reply in that thread if you have more questions.
Thanks,
Eric
