Hi,
Unfortunately (or fortunately) I do not have a windows PC. I have purchased proxy access via the US in hopes of being able to watch hulu from the UK. I have tried on both my mac and my PC that runs Ubuntu. I followed the instructions in the video tutorial and have set my system proxies as directed for each operating system. When I go to hulu and try to watch a video I get a
"Sorry, we are unable to stream this video. Please check your Internet connection and try again". This makes me think that at least something is working as before I enabled the proxy I got the usual geo-filter error about not being able to view from outside the US.
Having read the other forums it looks like the answer to most people's problems is the video utility tool but it looks like that is only available for windows. Is there any support for Ubuntu and Mac OS X?
Any help would be most appreciated.
Cheers!
Bryan
Hi Bryan, Not supported
Hi Bryan,
Not supported right now, but setting the system-wide proxy should do the trick. It works for me. Let me know if you're still having trouble.

Well
Well I am using ubuntu 9.10 with system-wide-proxy setting to paid foxyproxy paid USA server but still get "Sorry, we are unable to stream this video. Please check your Internet connection and try again"
when I do www.cmyip.com I got 64.*.*.* (which of course not my uk ip) so proxy seems to be working but still can't access to hulu.
Any ideas?
Thanks

block ports

on linux you also need to temporary block Outgoing network communication to ports 80,443,1935. You can do it with iptables.
Sorry, not an easy solution, I know. We have a Video Utility for Windows only.
